What do plants need to grow??

Let´s investigate! we plant seeds in 4 clear plastic cups, using the same amount of water,two seeds and the only thing that changes is the medium: one has SOIL, the second has SAND, the third has rocks and the fourth one has SALTY WATER. Which one will it grow???
